Song stuck in my head as of late

So I heard this song a few months back in an ad for Left 4 Dead and it struck me as cool.  I only recently got around to looking up the band behind the song and finding the actual song itself.  I don't know what it is exactly but I really dig it.  There's something about a voice with texture crooning out a song to catchy beat that always gets me.

I've been checking out the rest of the album, The Seldom Seen Kid, and it's quite.  It gets my recommendation.

Inflatable Shower Could Kill You

Via: Gizmodo

So this seems like a brilliant idea, shower fast...or die!  Happy Earth Day.

Oh, I'm a day late?  Well forgive me, I am a slow reader.  Or just slow in general.

It sure has been awhile

Oh man.

Life can sure be crazy sometimes.  Loyal readers (I don't still have any do I?), it's crazy how busy life can get when you are doing stuff.  I initially started this blog as an attempt to become rich and famous, or to waste time, I forget which.  Somewhere along the way I started to go to grad school and time just flew by and now we arrive at here.

So where do we go from here.  I don't know Internet, I just don't know.  I hurt you.  I neglected you and I am sorry for that.  Perhaps with time you can learn to forgive me and as we continue on in this journey together we can learn to laugh again.  Until then, just stare at this photo:

It's the first result I got for "best picture ever."

Nothing but the best for you, Internet.

Sincerely, Beabo

The End is Nigh

School days approacheth. I be a weary Grad student soon.

(By the way Worth1000.com is an awesome place to peruse.)

Pick a Shirt, Any Shirt

So I am stumbling through Threadless.com trying to pick out a funny shirt when I figured I should just come here and ask yall's opinion.

I like these, but I am open to other suggestions.

So the other day I was strolling through a graveyard, these things I do, when I stumbled upon this interesting section of grave markers. It made me wonder what kind of grave marker I would want if I weren't having my ashes scattered in the wind. What would I want it to say?

Your loving wife, Marvin? Aged 27 years?

Cowboy Jesus? (Check the boots)

Is the Coast Clear?

Is it safe to come back out of hiding? I had to disappear for awhile as I was in a great deal of danger. You see I seemed to have been stalked by something called laziness. It just came out of nowhere and chased me for about three weeks. But I think its gone now.

Hopefully only my good and loyal readers remain. I only liked them anyway. You that is, loyal reader.

What finally got rid of laziness? Well let's just say my life is back on track and I am going back to school. Graduate school. I know, I know, you are impressed. I am too. Now I am finally going to be a Master. Master Beabo. And I expect you all to call me such.
Also I've been writing this summer. My first novel is getting closer to being done. I have about 70,000 words written. All of them are not very good, but hey them's the breaks. I figure that was a practice. My next novel I am quite excited about and I think everyone else will be too.
I've read 57 books this summer. Which may be more books than I've ever read ever. I loved having a summer off and finally reading what I've always wanted to. It was way more educating than school but you don't get a degree for reading books. Oh well.

Anyway, hopefully I have ditched laziness for good. See you all later.

Robert Todd Lincoln

Today marks the anniversary of Robert Todd Lincoln's death. Now why is this interesting I hear you ask. Well, the reason is, and some of you may already be aware of this, is that that Robert Todd Lincoln is Abraham Lincoln's son. This is not the only notable thing about the man. What intrigues me, and others and some of you I am sure, is the man's curse and connection with death. Robert Todd Lincoln was present or very nearby during three of our president's assassinations.

1. He was invited to attend the Ford Theater on April 14th, 1865, where his father was assassinated.

2. He was at the Sixth Street Train Station when James Garfield was shot on July 2nd, 1881 by Charles Guiteau. (Former member of Oneida: a religious sex cult later turned into tea pot makers.)

3. He was at the Pan-American Exposition on September 6th, 1901 when William McKinley was shot.

Enjoy your history lesson of the day.

(In another odd turn of events for a man whose life seemed ruled by coincidence, he was once saved from near death by Edwin Booth, the brother of John Wilkes Booth who shot Robby's daddy. Odd but true.)

Down the Road...

Just a hop, skip and a jump down the road...and you find the sunken storage facility.

Rain, rain, go away!
